  • Mr. Tuy Sereivathana Chairman | Country Representative, Fauna & Flora International Cambodia

    Found CRDT through previous Board member Adam Starr, quickly learned to love the work of CRDT, became a CRDT board member in early 2011. Vathana holds a Master’s degree in wood technology and was awarded the prestigious Goldman Environmental Prize in 2010. Vathana has always had a deep respect for nature and a particular fascination with elephants, and affectionately known as “Uncle Elephant” in the communities he works in.

  • Mr. Leang Rattana
    Mr. Leang Rattana CRDT DIR­ECTOR | HR Management And Leadership

    Rattana joined CRDT’ Board in March 2014. He is a HR management and leadership specialist holding many years of experience with multinational companies in various industries such as Telecommunications, Banking and Energy. With Ericsson since 2008, Rattana is now promoted to be a Country Representative for Ericsson Cambodia with international assignment to work in Ericsson Myanmar and to provide HR management driven trainings and development throughout Southeast Asia.
    Rattana holds a Master of Business specializing in Management from Charles Sturt University in Australia. He is also an alumnus of Maharishi Vedic University (MVU) with a Bachelor Degree in Management specializing in Human Resource Management.
    What motivated Rattana to start engaging with CRDT recently was that he believes CRDT can bring a significant contribution to Cambodian communities.

  • Mr. Marc Wancer CRDT Director | Senior VP, Aeris Insight, Inc.

    Marc joined the CRDT Board in 2012. He currently serves as Senior VP at Aeris Insight, Inc., focusing on the assessment and ratings of community development loan funds’ social impact and financial performance. Marc has two decades of experience in the impact investing, develop­ment finance and NGO sectors in the U.S. and Cambodian markets. While in Cambodia, Marc man­aged research studies, impact assessments, and evaluations of microcredit and savings programs, as well as designing consumer finance solar product initiatives. Prior to Cambodia, Marc held positions within the U.S. community development fin­ance industry leading lending efforts and providing in-depth consulting services to social enterprises and NGOs, managing and administering loan portfolios, and implementing special purpose loan and technical assistance programs.

  • Ms. Sothany Chun
    Ms. Sothany Chun CRDT Director | Chief Finance Officer at First Finance Plc Cambodia

    Sothany joined CRDT’ board in April 2012. She currently serves as Chief Finance Officer at First Finance Plc – a micro mortgage company providing loan to low-middle income house­hold to own their first home. Sothany has more than 10 year experience in both development sector and private sector. Prior to join­ing First Finance, she was the operations manager of WING – the first mobile money transfer service provider in Cambodia. Before that, she was the head of Business Development of VisionFund Cambodia where she was responsible for marketing, product development, fund raising, communication and Administration function. She is glad of being today part of CRDT Board of Directors and will happily invest herself in this new challenge to help CRDT always moving forward.

  • Dr. Alex Diment CRDT Director| Senior Technical Advisor at the Wildlife Conservation Society - Myanmar (WCS)

    Alex joined the Board of Directors in 2013, when he returned to Cambodia after an absence of 7 years.

    Alex was previously a founding member of CRDT in 2001, while work­ing in Cambodia as a University lecturer in Rural Development and Environmental Science. He was closely involved with CRDT as an advisor and pro­ject coordinator from 2002 until 2006.

    Alex has a Masters degree in Environmental Science and a PhD in Ecology from the University of Sydney.  In addition to his technical back­ground in biodiversity conservation, he has strong skills in community work, strategic institutional development, fundraising, management and capacity building. He now works for the Wildlife Conservation Society as the Senior Technical Advisor for the Seima Protection Forest in Mondulkiri.

    Alex says:

  • Mr. Mao Savin
    Mr. Mao Savin Chairman / Investment Manager, Emerging Markets Investments

    As a founding member of CRDT since 2001, Savin has played a significant role in bringing best practice and institutional development to the organisation. He started as a volunteer project account­ant, then a finance advisor and later became a member of the Board of Directors when CRDT first institutionalized it in 2008. A year later, he was appointed Chair­man of the Board of Directors — the role that he continues to hold today.

    Savin is a well-rounded professional with over 10 years business and consulting experience. He started his career in accounting and finance with a multi-national manufacturing company, then was a consultant for a leading business consulting firm and today he is an investment professional investing and supporting SMEs in Cambodia and Laos.

    Savin is an Investment Manager and a General Partner of Emerging Markets Investments. He is also the co-founder and Chairman of Conversations With Foreigners.

  • Mr. Peter Horn
    Mr. Peter Horn CRDT Director / Executive Chairman - Asia Pacific, Institutional Investor / Director, CIE, Australia

    Peter is an Australian national with a passion for diverse Asian cultures and development economics. Peter brings a wealth of business acumen, as well as economic and financial expertise, to his role as a Director of CRDT. He has a clear focus on best practice in terms of project design, implementation and governance.

    Peter is the Executive Chairman – Asia Pacific for Institutional Investor and also a Director of CIE in Australia.  Previously, Peter was the Chief Executive Officer of J.P. Morgan Asset Management in Australia. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2007, Peter was Head of Equities, Europe based in London with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

    Peter commenced his career as a professional economist after graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Economics from Monash University in Melbourne.

    Peter also serves as a Non-Executive Director and Treasurer of Deaf Children Australia.
